I think LG Electronics remember a failure. So, even though LG V30 will be released on same day as Galaxy Note 8, but priced is not.
The price of Galaxy Note 8 is starting from at least 1094,500 won(€999), but V30 is priced at 943,300 won(€899), which is 150,000 won (€100) lower than this.
That alone, the LG V30 looks quite competitive. At least, it is a dispute that the G5 did not have unreasonable confidence.

Snapdragon 835 is mouted, so the speed will surely be fast. At least V30 don't need to have a same problem as LG G6(Snapdragon 821)
But is it reliable enough to succeed even if LG smartphone is priced at this price? I think... No.
LG Smartphone caused a major problem one by one when it launched. The G2 had touch panel problem. an booting failure in the case of the G4, G5.... it was sucked. just have lack of basic quality.

I think LG Electronics's rival is Xiaomi and Huawei, not Samsung, if you consider the brand value of LG smartphone.
Of course, due to Koreans mistrust of Chinese products, I would choose LG Electronics even Huawei or Xiaomi.
if someone give Huawei smartphone or LG smartphone, and say 'just choose, which one?' I will probably pick a LG smartphone with some hesitate.
But the story is different in the world market. Huawei is the third largest maker in the world, and brand power is not comparable to LG.
